Our client is delivering a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and is entering a critical design and integration phase for automated filling line systems. The focus is robust, compliant PLC architecture that will scale with production demand and integrate cleanly with sitewide control systems
We are seeking an engineer who can own PLC design from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with GMP and alignment with broader automation strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC control architectures for automated filling line equipment in a GMP-regulated environment
- Produce functional design specifications, control narratives, I/O lists, network architecture drawings, and hardware layouts
- Configure and program Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems in line with site standards
- Ensure integration readiness with DeltaV DCS and other plant-level systems
- Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities in collaboration with OEMs and system integrators
- Align designs with data integrity, validation, and regulatory expectations
Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing systems, ideally within sterile or aseptic processing environments
- Strong understanding of Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC architecture, hardware selection, and structured programming standards
- Experience designing PLC systems for filling lines, packaging lines, or high-speed automated equipment
- Working knowledge of DeltaV and its integration points with PLC-based subsystems
- Familiarity with GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and GMP validation lifecycle documentation
