Senior Director- Vice President of Biostatistics
Locations: New York, NY; Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Must be able to be based out of one of these hubs for 2-3 days travel to site.

The Role
The Senior Director/ VP of Biostatistics will lead and shape the biostatistics strategy and team. This key position reports to the Head of Biometrics and drives statistical initiatives that apply analytics and AI to optimize trial design, improve efficiency, and increase the probability of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute statistical strategies across development programs, including adaptive designs, Bayesian methods, and AI/ML applications.
- Provide expert input on study design, analysis planning, and regulatory interactions.
- Represent Biostatistics in FDA/EMA meetings and ensure statistical quality in submissions.
- Drive AI-driven clinical trial automation to improve execution and resource allocation.
- Develop best practices, SOPs, and vendor oversight to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends and represent the company at scientific forums and conferences.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field.
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or consulting roles.
- Proven experience leading biostatistics teams and strategy across clinical development programs.
- Strong collaboration skills across Clinical, Data Science, Programming, and Regulatory teams.
- Proficiency in SAS, R (S-Plus), and statistical software for sample size and simulations; advanced R programming a plus.
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex statistical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Passion for innovation, data-driven decision-making, and AI applications in clinical development.
Location & Compensation
- Target base salary: $262,000 - $340,000, for the Senior Director level. The VP TBC plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
