Head of BD Search & Evaluate

A Global Pharmaceutical company currently expanding their Specialty brand are creating a new function and are looking for a Head of Business Development and Search to spearhead the Europe expansion.

You will naturally possess an Entrepreneurial spirit and proven capabilities within Business Development specifically for specialty drug portfolios.

Reporting to the VP for this position will be instrumental in continuing to put this organisation at the forefront of specialty medicines in the industry.

Main Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with extended Global Business Development and specialty teams to identify opportunities for EU or global markets in current areas of ophthalmology, dermatology, and onco-derm.

* Consistent with overall expanded strategy for the company, evaluate opportunities in additional therapy areas such as oncology and rheumatology.

* Develop and manage strategic partnerships with key biotech and pharma companies to grow business in Europe or globally

* Monitor projects and ensure timely decision making at governance meetings

* Work cross-functionally with Transactions and Legal teams to help prepare Term Sheets and Licensing Agreements

* Serve as a member of the negotiations team; track and report on the status of proposal components

* Maintain competitive intelligence data

* Deep understanding of immunology and/or oncology and/or dermatology

* Strong record of accomplishment in Business Development and contributions to deals (deal sheet required)

* Strong executive presence, experience working with cross-functional teams.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.

* Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging therapies, and advancements in clinical trial methodologies.

Academically you'll ideally possess the following:

- PhD or MD/PhD with expertise in immunology, dermatology and/or rheumatology. Post-doctoral experience a plus. Experience in leading Business Development activities in pharma and/or biotech a requirement.

- 10 years of biotech and/or pharma business development post- PhD. Post-doctoral training a plus o EU experience required, US experience a plus.
