Field Service Engineer - Medical Devices - Pathology, IVD and Hospital diagnostics equipment - Sydney based

JOB SUMMARY

An experienced field service engineer is required for a medium sized renowned 'nice place to work 'pathology instrumentation and diagnostics' global company.

The company has large contracts with small, medium and major sized hospitals here in ANZ, and in most locations around the world.

The technology is cutting edge software so ideally we require someone that would like to be a part of something new and impactful.

The company is European by inception and still holds a privately owned, stable and valued company culture.

This company has a strong financial stance in the market and are a global market leader.

They have a long standing presence in this space and have many different diversified sectors in instrumentation, medical technology and medical analytics.

THE ROLE

The role will be to repair, service and install equipment on an ongoing basis covering NSW from Sydney.

The role certainly in the first 6-12 months will be part in the office in North East Sydney.

Working with an amazing Field Service Manager to be upskilled in the technololgy and company SOPs.

This is why the role will be great coming through the ranks with a few years experience as a Field Tech under their belt.

There will be the occasional need to travel interstate however they do have technicians dedicated to other states.

The role will report remotely into the National Services Manager who is based in Melbourne.

This manager is a senior member of the leadership team and has been with the company over 10 years

ROLE/DESCRIPTION

  • Working with company customers including in ANZ
  • Some interstate needed.
  • Install related hospital instrumentation at site
  • Repair, test, calibrate technology as required
  • Working with the customer service team and field service manager
  • Sharing the load with another FSE in NSW area
  • Scheduling and service activities
  • RMA tracking
  • Provide Progress reports
  • Sales order tracking and progress reports to the management team
  • Special assignments as required
  • Assigned Inventories and contributing to a fun and vibrant team so that patients get the best outcomes
  • Continuously develop customer relationships
  • Develop technology knowledge with new editions being released ongoing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Life sciences degree
  • Some experience working in a field service position in a medical device company
  • Instrumentation experience is a must with software products
  • Occasional flights to interstate
  • Restricted Electrical license
  • Can come from other industries related to the LC and LCMS technology
  • Physically demanding aspects to the job so much be able bodied
  • Experience with TGA and Medsafe
