Clinical Research Associate II / Senior Clinical Research Associate
Ready to take the next step in your CRA career?
We’re looking for an experienced CRA to join a leading CRO that partners exclusively with an exciting boutique biotech. This isn’t your standard monitoring role - you’ll be hands‑on across the full project lifecycle, including Study Start‑Up, meaning you’ll gain greater exposure and experience that sets you up for real career progression (think Project Management opportunities).
This CRO has a strong reputation for both its culture and its growth. They’ve recently secured significant investment, which means continued expansion and new internal progression pathways. If you’re ready to grow with a company that genuinely values its people, this could be the perfect move.
What you’ll be doing
- Independent monitoring of clinical sites across Australia in line with ICH‑GCP and local regulations
- Driving Study Start‑Up activities (ethics submissions, regulatory documentation, essential document collection)
- Building strong relationships with site staff to ensure high‑quality data collection and patient safety
- Managing multiple studies across varied therapeutic areas, including complex and innovative protocols
- Conducting site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close‑out visits
- Preparing clear and accurate monitoring reports and ensuring timely follow‑up and issue resolution
- Acting as the main point of contact between study sites and the sponsor/CRO team
- Supporting trial compliance, identifying risks, and proactively resolving challenges
- Collaborating with internal Project Managers and cross‑functional teams to keep studies on track
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 18 months independent monitoring experience within Australia (CRA II level and above)
- Proven experience with Study Start‑Up
- Solid knowledge of ICH‑GCP, TGA/CTN/CTA requirements, and local health authority guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Confident communicator who can build and maintain professional relationships with site staff
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Life science degree (or equivalent) is required
- Flexibility to travel as needed across Australia
Why you’ll love it here
- Be more than “just a monitor” — get true end‑to‑end project exposure
- Clear progression opportunities into Project Management and beyond
- A CRO with a reputation for culture and investment in people, not just projects
- Ongoing growth and stability due to continued investment and expansion
- Competitive salary and benefits package
If you’re a CRA who wants more ownership, more variety, and a genuine pathway forward in your career, this could be the ideal next step.
