One of New Zealand's leading clinical research groups has a unique opportunity for an experienced Lab Manager to join on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for all lab operational aspects as well as managing a team of 30, and so management & technical skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a large team.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the laboratory.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulations.
  • Actively engage with external stakeholders, customers, and vendors to maintain strong relationships and drive business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and seek out new opportunities for process optimisation and innovation.
  • Lead the team through periods of change and growth, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team leadership, ideally within a laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong vision and strategic thinking, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in phase 1 lab research would be desirable, but not essential.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
