Vice President, Clinical Development, Immuno-Oncology (I-O) - USA

Working with a leading US-based oncology biotechnology company. We are looking to onboard a passionate and driven Vice President, Clinical Development, Immuno-Oncology to join the leadership team and spearhead the advancement of our transformative I-O therapies. In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing clinical development team, overseeing the clinical development pipeline from early-stage research to late-stage global clinical trials and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic clinical development plans for our I-O portfolio, aligned with overall corporate objectives and scientific vision.
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical development professionals across various therapeutic indications within I-O.
  • Drive efficient and effective execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investigators, Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), regulatory agencies, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the budget and resource allocation for clinical development activities.
  • Translate scientific data into compelling regulatory submissions for global and regional approvals.
  • Actively participate in scientific conferences and industry events to represent the company and share clinical development progress.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in I-O research and their potential impact on the development strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the clinical development team.


  • MD required.
  • 10+ years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with 7+ years in leadership positions within clinical development.
  • Strong experience in oncology is required; immuno-oncology experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing clinical development programs.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory landscapes, and global clinical development operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities, and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Passion for immuno-oncology and a commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients.
