Position: Regional Account Manager

Location: Scotland & Northeast of England (Field-based)

Contract Length: 12-month (View to extend)

Work Structure: Monday - Friday (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: Available on request (Inside IR35)

We currently have an opening for a Regional Account Manager to join my client's dynamic Commercial Team, covering the Scotland & Northeast of England territory. This role offers a unique blend of challenge and reward, representing my client's innovative products and services to a diverse customer base.

The client's therapeutic areas of focus include HIV/AIDS, liver diseases, cancer and inflammation, and serious respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.

Regional Account Manager - Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Represents the client's products and services to a defined customer base across the Scotland & North East of England territory.
  • Utilizes a level of HIV product and therapeutic disease working knowledge to promote the appropriate use of the client's products to healthcare professionals.
  • Together with territory team partner prepares business plan, assigns activity and communicates required actions to achieve goals. Prepares territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures to drive outcomes in business plan and is accountable jointly for spend.
  • With guidance, initiates systems to monitor progress and business plans and can present regular performance updates both verbally and in writing.
  • Represents company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
  • Works cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, Regional Market access, Marketing, Standard Support Services, and other internal team members on various cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians.
  • Builds and extends business relationships with key customers or within accounts building customer engagement journeys through an omni-channel approach.
  • Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g. updating account plans in Teams, reviews ICF, expenses etc.
  • Responsible for achieving the competency levels required in the role.
  • Complies with all regulatory agencies and company SOP's to required standard at all times.

Regional Account Manager - Specific Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires a BA or BS degree and minimum of 2 - 5 years of highly successful selling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Professional qualification including but not limited to HCP/ AHP
  • Prior experience in appropriate therapeutic area desirable but consistent achievement of sales and account working more important.
