General Summary
As the Key Account Manager, your mission is to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory. You'll do this by effectively selling the company's products and services to both new and existing customers. This role requires a results-driven approach to hit daily, weekly, and monthly targets, with a keen eye for identifying and seizing sales opportunities.

Target Customers
To thrive in this role, you'll need to build strong relationships with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, and medicinal cannabis prescribing doctors. Key Account Managers (KAMs) will drive sales through a mix of direct sales and educational activities, engaging with pharmacists, doctors, nurse practitioners, distributors, and telehealth clinic providers. Making sure our client's products are included on clinic formularies is a key part of the role.

Core Functions:

  • Promote, sell, and secure orders through relationship-based sales.
  • Demonstrate products and help customers choose the best options.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Conduct phone calls, in-person visits, and presentations.
  • Research and qualify potential customers.
  • Craft effective written proposals and quotations.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams.
  • Analyse market potential and customer value.
  • Develop and manage customer value plans.
  • Identify competitive advantages and plan personal sales strategy.
  • Report on customer needs, competitive activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on product applications, market conditions, and industry trends.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in medicinal cannabis is highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the consumer health/pharmacy industry.
  • Results-driven with a passion for closing deals and making sales.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
