Company Overview: Our client, a leading clinical trial site organisation, is seeking a Business Development Manager. They are looking for a strategic and dynamic professional to join their team and help achieve their ambitious growth objectives.
Role Overview: The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in identifying and implementing key customer relationship strategies to drive growth and build trust at all levels of engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing business development activities, securing new opportunities, and maintaining robust client relationships to enhance the company's presence and success in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve Contact Goals: Conduct 20 contact hours per week with prospective and current clients, monitored through Salesforce.
- Increase Selection Rates: Boost the selection rate of approved feasibilities by 10% each quarter.
- Reporting and Analysis: Deliver monthly reports on studies not selected, including reasons and proposed mitigations.
Success Factors:
- Secure Profitable Growth: Represent the company's values in all client interactions, participate in key conferences, and maintain professional communication throughout the process.
- Maximise Participants: Develop recruitment plans with sponsors, leverage relationships to increase participant allocation, and understand the benefits of conducting studies in the company's region.
- Continuous Business: Maintain client contact, share critical business information, stay updated on market trends, and identify new opportunities for expansion.
- Optimise Efficiency: Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to enhance business development protocols, execute effective workflows, and keep CRM data up to date.
- Embrace Quality: Continuously seek improvements, drive the achievement of OKRs, and ensure exceptional client engagement.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: At least 3 years of business development experience, ideally within the clinical research or related field.
- Skills: Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and Canva. Strong communication skills, including storytelling, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Attributes: Demonstrates strategic awareness, a competitive drive, strong relationship-building skills, optimism, resilience, authenticity, and the ability to persuade and influence.
